April Fools? Not at all!!!

Not only was there some excellent water skiing to be had on April 1, but on April 2 a number of people actually went snow skiing/boarding in the morning and then water skiing in the afternoon... that may not be so rare in some places, but in Ontario it is!!! Paul Roberts was at Caledon snowboarding, Jim Kissick and Bryan Sher were at Osler skiing and then went water skiing at Summerski. Now THATS a Good Friday!

Summerski caters to a fairly elite skiing and riding clientele that appreciate the convenience of being able to go skiing or riding any day of the week when the weather is good rather than waiting for the weekend and being shut down by bad weather. Summerski is the perfect club for skiers who want to practice skiing in a slalom course or just appreciate the advantages of skiing on calm water with excellent instruction and no boat traffic or for riders that want access to a professional boat plus a slider and a kicker.
By joining summerski, you will have access to a 30 acre private lake
which is an expired gravel pit with drinking quality water. It is
located just east of the intersection of Highway 9 and Highway 400 so it
is less than an hour's drive from pretty well anywhere in the Toronto
area. You will have exclusive use of the lake with one person on the
water at a time.
Water Skiing - There are two slalom courses, both surveyed and certified
to be within record capable accuracy by Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada.
You will ski behind a tournament level boat with Zero Off speed control
and a professional driver providing excellent instruction every time you
ski. There is also a regulation water ski jump and jump course.
Summerski is a members only club specifically setup for the serious
participant who wants the best facility at which to train. We also offer
special daily and weekly training camps for skiers and riders that want
to train on the site for just a day or a week.
The club is open 7 days a week from May 24 weekend to Labour Day and
weather permitting from Apr 15 to May 24 and Labour Day to Oct 15.
